Romantic Getaway in nearly 10 Private Wooded Acres on Texter Mountain w/ hot tub

You will find this mountain rural location very private and enchanting – yet only a few miles from restaurants, grocery stores, drug store, gas station, etc (scroll down to see the Gogobot links to nearby places)

The chalet has just been (as of Feb 2016!) renovated/restored with new appliances, flooring, furniture, paint, lighting, etc. throughout. At the same time the aged ceiling beams and boards were kept in their original state!

It is situated in approximately a 2 acre clearing near the back of almost 10 wooded acres. The road is not visible from the chalet, which is actually 1/10th of a mile from the road.

You may see wildlife (or evidence of its recent presence) as you relax in the hot tub on the patio or explore the woods and walk along the creek.

We have an custom outdoor year-round chemical free hot tub (with saline based purification system) sunken into the patio for comfortable entry and exit.

Relax on the double lounger by the outdoor fireplace after unwinding in the hot tub, while smelling your steak on the propane grill or hamburgers over the open fireplace.

Accent lighting on the wall, fireplace and hot tub, wall/post lights as well as area security lighting are controlled by you to create the most elegant and romantic outdoor experience.

There is an outdoor shower on the patio for you to rinse off before, or cool off after your hot tub experience.

Watch a cheerful fire burning in the fireplace on the patio, thru the patio doors, from the comfortable inclining queen bed.

Watch the sun go down in the west from the indoor Jacuzzi which is near the front windows in the main room.

The modern kitchen with granite counter tops has stainless steel appliances, including a full range, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker and fridge/freezer.

– unlimited incoming and outgoing calls to anywhere in the United States and Canada on the phone in the chalet

– high speed internet (WIFI) by Comcast

For your safety and peace of mind, a fully automatic generator (power standby) unit is installed to provide full power to this property and all its amenities in the rare event of a power outage in the area.

WEEKEND RESERVATION POLICY… (effective for stays after May 1, 2017)

To give priority to guests that want a reservation that includes a Saturday and Sunday night,

we will not accept reservation requests that would have a Sunday check-in or check-out until 45 days prior to that stay.

Example: Someone wants to book a stay for Friday & Saturday night (arrive Friday, July 14 and leave Sunday, July 16). We would not accept that reservation until June 1 to allow time for others who may want to book 3 nights (arriving Friday and leaving Monday) or others who may want to book 2 nights (arriving Saturday and leaving Monday).

The reason we want to avoid guest changeovers on Sundays is because we believe Sunday is the Lord’s day and a day of rest. So we and the housekeepers go to church, go visiting and relax on Sundays.
