Cabin Retreat in the Tall Pines

A gorgeous A-frame cabin on 2.5-acres is located in Parks just off Historic Route 66 between Flagstaff and Williams (Gateway to the Grand Canyon). Two sides of the property border the Kaibab National Forrest. It is an excellent retreat from the heat in the summer and snow play in the winter. Enjoy historic downtown Flagstaff and home of NAU just 17 miles away. The drive to the Grand Canyon is less than one hour. Points of interest within 30 minute drive are Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon & Slide Rock State Park, Williams, Kaibab Lake, Bearizona, and Arizona Snowbowl ski lodge. Places to see in the Parks area include the Lava Tube Caves, Sycamore Canyon, Key Hole Sink, Deer Farm and Oak Hill Snow Play Area. There are many great quad and dirt bike trails. Other activities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, golfing, skiing, dinning, shopping, sightseeing and star gazing.

Description of the Cabin: Our 2-story cabin is 2035 sq. ft. with 3 bedrooms (2 master bedrooms) with beds for 7 people. A futon and two hide-away single beds can be used for maximum occupancy of 10. The cabin is beautifully decorated in a Cowboy & Indian theme and Southwest art. The lower master suite has a queen bed, satellite TV, private deck facing the forest and a private bathroom. The 2nd story master bedroom has a king size bed. The 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed and single twin. The 2nd bathroom is on the upper level. The loft is a great play area for children with a TV for video games, toys and board games. The Loft has a futon that converts into a standard size bed with an additional vanity sink. The living area has leather furniture, satellite TV and DVD player. The dining area has a bay window looking over the pines, comfortably seats 8 but will hold 10 people. The kitchen is well equipped with service for 10. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. The large deck has patio furniture and gas grill.

On-Site Amenities: A large circular driveway provides room a RV or toy hauler. There is an awesome play ground fort for the little ones and a fire pit perfect for toasting marshmallows under the stars. Special detail went into the décor such as hand carved bear cubs climbing a pole that supports the loft, Hopi Indian and South American one-of-kind art pieces. Oak Hill Snow Play Area (1 mile away) has 2 main sledding areas. Directly across the street (Route 66) is Key Hole Sink where you can see petroglyph drawings. The Deer Farm (2 miles away) is perfect for the little ones. Bearizona and Kaibab Lake is 8 miles away. This is the kind of vacation retreat you will come back to again and again.

Activities and Attractions: Historical Flagstaff has many multi-cultural restaurants, great shopping and art galleries. Lowell’s Observatory and Meteor Creator are near Flagstaff. During the winter months there is downhill skiing at Snowbowl. From spring to fall, take a ride to Sedona’s Red Rock Canyon and Oak Creek Canyon. While there, hop on a Pink Jeep Tour or Hot Air Balloon ride over some of the most beautiful and unique scenery in our country. During the summer, pack a cooler and enjoy a day at Slide Rock State Park where kids slide along the rocks and adults’ sunbath or catch up on their reading while lounging on the many levels of flat rock formations along the creek. In less than one hour you can be at the Grand Canyon hiking or riding a mule to Indian Gardens. The city of Williams has the Grand Canyon Railway featuring the Polar Express during the winter months, many fun restaurants, an indoor skate board park and Native American shopping
