As featured in Tiny house newsletter, this pleasantly perfect cottage is located 10 minutes or a short 6 miles from downtown Gettysburg and within minutes to some of the best wineries Pennsylvania has to offer. Perfectly placed for ski fans as well since Ski Liberty is 15 minutes away! Hikers have a short 10 minute drive to Michaux State Forest which encompasses more than 85,500 acres in the South Mountain area of Cumberland, Franklin and Adams counties. Considered Pennsylvania’s “cradle of forestry,” Also 10 minutes away is the 1,125-acre Caledonia State Park which is in Adams and Franklin counties, midway between Chambersburg and Gettysburg along the Lincoln Highway, US 30. The park is nestled within South Mountain, the northern terminus of the well-known Blue Ridge Mountain of Maryland and Virginia.

As you pull off the road you will be on 30 acres of manicured Private Property. Snuggled back in the woods, Apple Blossom Cottage is perfect for a couples retreat or friends looking to get away. This 700sf cottage is a fully equipped one bedroom, one full bath, Queen size bed, and kitchen. Guests need only bring there luggage and food. All toiletries, Luxury sheets, towels, and kitchen items are provided. Once you have arrived sit back and take in the view of your very own spring fed pond and the wildlife all around you. The deer are extremely friendly and will walk within 5 feet of the porch to say hi. There is even a small fire pit for cozying up next to on a chilly night and sharing stories. For a small extra fee you can purchase a dozen organic multicolored eggs waiting for you from our very own chickens. (Our son’s business) During apple season take a stroll through our private organic apple orchard and pick your own complimentary apples. Snuggle up in the queen size bed and enjoy a nice book or relax on the couch and enjoy a hot cup of joe while watching your favorite shows. There are over 140 channels available. Enjoy complimentary WiFi to check email and surf the web.

The bathroom hosts a Shower and tub, luxury towels, and toiletries. Take a stroll down our private lane and visit the horses. Soda Pop, Princess, and Pac Man will great you and once the weather gets warm guests will be offered Trail Rides on these beauties around the property. The rich modern theme of this cottage will provide you with the solitude and relaxation you have been deserving.

We do allow nightly rates however due to dates and booking capacity we reserve the right to block certain days. Weekends are a minimum of 2 nights.

Dogs are considered

We do except dogs for a flat fee of $50 for the first dog and to add one more dog there is an additional flat $25 fee.

With that comes our Top Dog Package. Obviously while you’re enjoying your vacation rental your pup should not have to Ruff it! We provide to use while you’re at the rental a sanitized pet bed, dry shampoo, Paw wipes, pet waste bags, designer food and water bowls, pet placemat, microfiber pet towels, and our signature endless treat jar.

The rental and property are treated for fleas and ticks.

A portion of the pet fee is donated to our local ASPCA

We currently do not allow Streaming for the internet i.e. Netflix.

We are excited to announce that we have added a luxury 3 person hot tub to the cottage’s private property set in a beautiful Gazebo. Hot tub will be installed in June 2018. In order to keep our rental rates low for everyone the hot tub will be an add on fee.
